1.5 Wedding Bells

I looked at myself in the mirror one more time before I went outside to meet Michael under the arch. Although I was excited, I was nervous too. But the caps my mother gave me years ago hid my real ears very well.

This is me, with my natural freakish pointed ears. I hate them, so I wear my hair down and never put it up, ever.

Once I saw all of our friends and Mickey waiting there for me, I couldn’t get there fast enough.

I couldn’t stop crying, but finally I worked around my tears and managed to choke out my vows, “I, Carlee Nicole Smithe, take you, Michael Scott Carrigan, to be my lawfully wedded husband…”

“…to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.”

“I, Michael Scott Carrigan, take you, Carlee Nicole Smithe, to be my lawfully wedded wife…”

“…to have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.”
He slid the ring on my finger, then mouthed, I love you.

We kissed as everyone cheered, smiled, threw rice, and cried.

We cut the cake together and then partied it up. Pretty soon, Dylan got fussy, so everyone got the hint and left.

I have to say that Michael really bonded with Dylan. They were like best buds.

Their guy time consisted of Mickey telling Dylan what team was playing and who was better than whom. Dylan giggled at his dad the entire time. It made me smile.

So I guess you’re wondering why me and Michael didn’t have a honeymoon? Well, with Dylan in the house, we sortof forgot about going on a honey moon.

But we definitely didn’t skip the honeymoon activities.
I’m still having some horrible morning sickness.

Peace,

1.4 Bachelorette Party

Xander Clavell showed up first. We’re not very close, but we’ve met in the park and chatted a few times here and there.

Jocasta and Madison showed up next.

And I danced with Xander for a while, he had some pretty good moves.

The pizza I ordered finally arrive and everyone came over to get a slice.

While we were eating though, Victoria thought it’d be hilarious to hire…well…

“male entertainers” I almost died from embarrassment. But then I just let it go and enjoyed my party.

After an hour of dancing around drinking, I was nice and tipsy.
I sprayed Xander with fizzy nectar. We laughed about it for at least ten minutes before I stumbled over to Victoria.

“Wanna do my toast? Oh please do it Vicky!” I slurred.
She laughed.

“Oh of course Carlee!” She said, hugging me and then trying to get everyone’s attention.

“Excuse me.” She said pretty loud, but no one really looked. “Alright, hey!” She screamed, now getting everyone’s attention.

“My girl Carlee is getting married tomorrow, about damn time!” She said, making everyone in the room laugh. I blushed. “She’s marrying a great guy and I’m so happy for them I could…”
Xander yelled out, “DANCE?” And everyone resumed dancing.

“Whoa Vicky! I just got this dress.” She laughed and did it anyway.

Then I went around the room getting almost everyone with nectar.

Including payback on Victoria.

Jocasta.

Madison.

And even Justine.

Around 4 in the morning, everyone went home and I crawled into bed.
I had fun, but I couldn’t wait to see Michael and Dylan the next day, at my wedding.

Love,

I was huge. Well. Huge is being generous. But, I was fatter than ever.
But I was eating everything in sight also…

Anyway…

After gardening well into the evening time, I came inside to find Mickey asleep on the couch.
I plopped down and started reading my book.

But before I knew it- the baby was coming and Michael, with all of his…bravery, started freaking out.
“Jesus Christ calm down, go get my go bag, and let’s get this shindig in a cab and go to the hospital!” I screamed.

He didn’t listen to me and kept standing there flipping out.

So I calmed myself down.
“Look. Mickey, babe, go get my stupid go bag and let’s go!” I said, calling for a cab and walking out the front door.
Finally he got his act together and followed me, still forgetting my go bag.
I let it go and hopped in the cab.

It couldn’t have gone any better, I had a healthy baby boy that we named Dylan Carrigan.

Isn’t he precious? :p

The months went by quickly and Mickey was hanging out with the guys, so I decided to plan my bachelorette party.
After snuggletime with Dylan…

I put him down for a nap and asked Mickey if he could watch him tonight while I partied just a little bit. He said he didn’t mind and they headed for the park.

Most everyone I called and invited said yes.
This could get interesting…

Peace,

1.2 Question

I caught him while he was working out. I’d hidden my pregnancy from him for the past few weeks, but, it was time for him to know.
“Well…uh…”

“It’s okay, whatever you need to say can say it Carls.” I paused and then finally blurted it out, “I’m pregnant!”

He was shocked (I was too). But he was also happy.
“Hey there little guy!” He said, listening to my tummy.

“Oh what’s that son?”
I rolled my eyes. “You know it’s a girl,” I said, my hands on my hips. He laughed, “how do you know?” I paused, “well I don’t. But I sort of hope for a girl.” Michael smiled, “Alright then. I still say its a boy.”

He played peek a boo with my baby bump and I laughed so hard.
Then we decided to sell my furniture and re-decorate that room as the nursery.

We did blue and purple wallpaper and bought tons of toys. I’m not kidding, I probably spent everything I made decorating.

One night Mickey came home from work and got dressed pretty nicely.
“Hey Carls wanna go somewhere with me?”

“Where?” I asked, standing up. “Eh. Nowhere fancy, but where a dress.”
I laughed, “it’s not fancy but I need a dress.”
He nodded. “It’s a surprise.”

“Alright. I’ll…humor you.” I said, going to get ready.

Soon we got in the cab and arrived at a fancy restaurant.

“Fancy pants? Someone get a raise?” I asked as we chatted over dinner.
“Eh. Maybe. I’m pretty far in my career now.” He said nonchalantly. “Oh really?”
“Made team captain a couple weeks ago.” He bragged and I laughed, “okay Mr. Bigshot.” I said, rolling my eyes dramatically.

Soon we were outside of the restaurant where other couples were looking at the stars.

So we joined them and giggled as we pointed out different constellations.

After a few minutes, I decided that this was the perfect moment to tell Mickey how I really felt about him.

“I love you,” I whispered cuddling against his shoulder. He didn’t say anything.
I felt like I was going to have a panic attack.

He stood up. Oh no, “Mickey what’s wrong?” I asked, standing up with him.
He got down on one knee.
“Mickey what in the hell are you doing?”

“Carlee I know that we’ve only known each other six months and I know that you were supposed to just be my roomie and that was cool and all. But. You’ve become my best friend. And we’re having a child together. And I just-” He stopped stammering and gathered himself. “Carlee Smithe…”

“I love you more than anything. Will you please marry me?”

“Oh my God! Yes yes yes yes yes! A million times yes!” I screamed jumping up and down.

“I cannot believe this Mickey!” I said, running to hug him.

We hugged and other couples cheered us on.
This was probably the happiest day in my life.

Peace,

I’d adjusted pretty well, me and Michael hung out a lot, even though I had a part-time job at the super market and he was an athlete.

One night, I accidentally left a mess on the stove and Michael came home earlier than I expected, so I didn’t even get a chance to clean it up.

He came in though and cleaned it right away.

I came and did dishes while he washed the stove and we chatted idly.

“Thanks for helping me clean Mickey.” I said.

“It’s no problem love.” My heart pounded out of my chest.
Had he just called me a pet name or was he just being nice?

Me and Mickey had become real close over the past few weeks.
Everyday he’d come home from work he’d bear hug me and ask me how my day was.

And today while we were reading a little after dinner,

Mickey got up…

and sat down on the couch next to me. I let it slide for a few moments, then…

He scooted closer to me.

“Can I help you Mr. Carrigan?” I said, thumbing the pages of my book. He laughed, “maybe. It depends…”
“Depends on what?” I said, closing my book.

“Are you ticklish?!” He tickled the ever living out of me until I begged him to stop.

He held me afterwards. “Do you consider us friends, Carlee?”
I rolled my eyes, “of course you know I do Mickey.”
“What if I wanted to be more than friends?” I didn’t know what to say…
Then all of the sudden he kissed me.

And it sortof spiraled all out of control.

We were officially official after our little rendezvous.

Michael was always working out. He’d gotten a lot more buff since I had met him.

I started feeling sick and I knew what was wrong.

And with a call from the doctor, it was confirmed.
I was pregnant.

Hm. Me being a mother.
This should be fun…

Love,

1.0 Introduction

I’m Carlee Smithe. I’m your average 22 year old ditzy girl. I’ve been looking for apartments in Sunset Valley for forever. And finally a chick named Michelle Carrigan, that could be my potential roommate, emailed me back saying she had a room.

So I packed my stuff up and left Twinbrook heading for greener pastures…(hopefully?)

I pulled in the driveway at my new address and saw a guy standing in the front yard, huh. Must be her brother or something. Maybe her boyfriend. I wasn’t sure.

“So hey, I’m Carlee. I’m looking for Michelle?” He smiled, “I’m Mickey, but my real name is Michael.” he said nonchalantly. “Okay. That’s nice, but where is Michelle?”

He laughed, “there’s actually a funny story about that. I made a typo and accidentally typed Michelle. I didn’t even realize it until you had already contacted me and said you were coming to look at the place.”

“Ha ha ha…you’re definitely…not a chick.” I laughed. So I was gunna be roomies with a dude. That’s cool I guess.
“Well. Hey Carlee. I’m glad you’re renting out my room. I’ve gotta do some stuff, so, you go ahead and get settled in.” He walked away to around the side of the house.

The family room had enough seating for four with a bookcase and a tv. Not too shabby.

Kitchen was small, but, I was hoping he wouldn’t mind that I would be cooking in it all the time.

And the room I was renting was small, but cozy.

Now that you’ve met me and Michael. We’ll get started with our story…
